Los ciudadanos demócratas de los pueblos de América, respetuosamente solicitamos al Presidente Electo de la República de Chile, Sebastián Piñera, le retire el apoyo al señor José Miguel Insulza para su reelección en la Organización de Estados Americanos.
Las democracias del continente se han visto afectadas por las actuaciones del Señor Insulza en su periodo al frente del Organismo. Sobre todo que la Carta Democrática Interamericana ha sido hecha a un lado, a propósito, en perjuicio de nuestras democracias.
Los presos políticos en Venezuela no tienen esperanzas de un juicio justo, ni las violaciones a los derechos humanos en gobernos totalitarios de Latinoamérica se han investigado, debido a la ineficiencia manifiesta por el Señor Insulza.
Su proceder en la crisis política de Honduras, a todas luces fue parcializada a favor de quienes la provocaron y esto hizo que la democracia Hondureña casi se viera destruida a vista y paciencia del Señor Insulza.
Por éstas y muchas razones más, pedimos muy respetuosamente, le retire el apoyo de Chile, al señor José Miguel Insulza, como representante de su país en la OEA.
Presidente Piñera, en sus manos está parte del futuro demócrata del hemisferio, tome la decisión heroica de retirar el apoyo y darle paso con esto, al adecentamiento de la Organización, que tanta falta nos hace en esta América de todos.

Los Pueblos de America

The democratic citizens of the nations of America, respectfully request to the President Elect of the Republic of Chile, Sebastian Piñera, to withdraw his support to Mr. Jose Miguel Insulza’s re-election to the Direction of the Organization of American States.
The democracies of the continent have been affected by Mr. Insulza’s performance during his period as head of the mentioned organization. Above all the Interamerican Democratic Charter has been casted aside, on purpose, to damage our democracies.
The political prisoners in Venezuela hold no hope for a fair trial, nor the violations to the Human Rights in Latin America have a voice to be heard because of the open inefficiency of Mr. Insulza.
His inadequate response during the political crisis in Honduras, was openly biased in favor of the ones who provoked it and by this put is serious jeopardy the Honduran democracy.
For this and many other reasons, we respectfully request to withdraw the support to Mr. Insulza as the representative of Chile to the Organization of American States.
President Piñera, in your hands lay part of the future of the democracy in our hemisphere, take the heroic decision to withdraw your support and give way to decency to the Organization that is so much in need in this America of all.
