The Reform Immigration for America (RI4A) coalition—a multi-million dollar coalition of DC groups (with some exceptions)—has continually denied immigrant youth their DREAM by holding back on putting full and genuine support behind the DREAM Act.

We have been fighting for the DREAM Act for almost a decade and CIR for even longer—kids have grown up into adults without any practical solutions. And this is after millions of dollars from funders for “immigration reform.”

It’s time for a shift in strategy: We need to pass the DREAM Act as the first step in the right direction away from enforcement-only solutions.

It would deliver a much-needed victory for immigrant communities, get more immigrant youth out of the shadows to work for immigration reform, break the current logjam in Congress over immigration, and raise the profile of immigration in the mainstream progressive sphere, forcing progressives to take a position in the immigration debate.

Tell RI4A to stand with immigrants and immigrant rights for a movement led by undocumented youth.
