Prop 19 is a non-partisan initiative to tax and control the sale of cannabis in California. If passed local governments would have the ability to raise money for the general fund by taxing the sale and consumption of cannabis.

Money the city of San Diego greatly needs to prevent rolling brownouts of critical services like Fire Department and refocus police resources.
