Tell the Chancellor children can’t wait Aid works. In countries such as Pakistan, UK Government aid is vital in helping children now and in the years to come, for example by rebuilding schools and homes. These children can’t wait for the global economy to recover. On 20 October, the UK Government will announce how it will spend its money until 2015. Children need the Chancellor, George Osborne MP, to keep the Government’s promise to protect the aid budget, and for this money to stay focused on reducing poverty and its impacts on children – for example, helping to ensure children get access to health care, education and clean water. Economic times may be tough, but the UK Government could actually raise new money through a tax on the financial sector, which would raise up to £20 billion to tackle poverty and climate change. Tweet above to tell the Chancellor that children can’t wait.
