The Nuclear Research Group my Dad worked for before he went blind from radiation exposure was called the A.E.I POWER GROUP it was at that time 1953/66 a tightly connected seedy group of three arms from the UK, CANADA & the U.S.A , A.E.I was a partner of Metropolitan Vickers, the company I refer to is ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES LIMITED >>POWER GROUP RESEARCH LABORATORY this was a secret cover or front company that on the outside appeared to be just an Electrical factory but in actual fact it was a Top Secret Nuclear Research Laboratory placed right in the middle of a built up area of Trafford Park next to unsuspecting people’s homes. I wonder sometimes just what rests on the land that was once the S.17 & S.15 research buildings, because they are now at the bottom of the IRISH SEA encased in steel drums and concrete. I only know this because my Dad was there when it all took place. The Management of the above company should be held accountable for their actions of gross negligence in the operation of these secret laboratories and for them to just plead ignorance and to hide behind the Official Secrets Act should not be a defence that allows complete immunity from prosecution or for having to pay damages to victims who worked for them or for people living close by to the secret research labs within the buildings, yet sadly this is the case the company was able to hide behind the Official Secrets act approved by @number10gov the UK government allowing it to escape any form of punishment what so ever until now, I hope to change this fact soon.

My Dad who was always a loyal Staff Sgt of the British Royal Engineers even after he left his regiment at Elgin in Scotland and began working in the private sector at Metropolitan Vickers in 1953 and then at the A.E.I Power Group’s Nuclear Research Laboratorys at Trafford Park UK. He also was a devoted loving husband and loving father to five children, however if you believe the United Kingdom’s spin, Dad never, ever existed. Well I can assure you he existed, but sadly he is now only in spirit, gone but not forgotten, silent yet vocal as he guides me through the writing of our story. My grandad and a WW1 soldier, who with his brother in-law Christopher Hall, enlisted in the British Army and set off for France in WW1, grandad was gassed by mustard gas in the trenches of the Somme in France and survived if you can call it that because grandad was never well again after that. Christopher grandma’s brother lost his life in France, so their medals we keep together as a mark of respect for them both as they both left together fought together and are both passed over now but never forgotten. I included the details about my grandad solely for this reason, I tried many times over the years to convince Dad to go public with his story about the Secret Nuclear research work he performed in the United Kingdom that had harmed him so much, it had changed his and our lives forever. Dad did try to get assistance from the UKGOV through the British High Commission in Canberra, Australia but they refused him any form of assistance and firmly slammed the door shut in his face so Dads Australian Union the AMWU used their lawyers in an attempt to get him compensation yet even with the excellent Australian lawyers the Official Secrets act made it near impossible to find records that contained any information relating to the secret research labs S.17 Nuclear reactor alloys research & S.15 Beryllium metal research. So Dad just refused all of my attempts at getting him to speak to the media and could not bring himself to ever reveal the secrets that he carried whether from fear of the Official Secrets act and prosecution or love for his country I never ever fully understood but I like to think it was from fear due to the treatment he received from them after he went blind from radiation cataracts. I also think the reason that he stayed silent had something to do with his upbringing, it was his whole family history with his Dad being a soldier in World War 1 and Uncle John, who was Dad’s brother and a soldier in World War 2 who fought in the Deserts of Africa, also Uncle Eddie Moran mums brother who was Lieutenant in the Royal Fleet Air Arm so it was only natural that Dad would then later enlist in the Royal Engineers and he was so very proud of this reaching the rank of Staff Sgt Norman Hardy, British Royal Engineer s/n 22043729.
