Customizable playoffs are long past due for OOTP and as customizable as OOTP is this is probably the most glaring way in which it is not. Different real baseball leagues have for years used different playoff formats and now even MLB is reportedly on the verge of expanding its playoffs in a way that OOTP can’t handle. OOTP is not just a game for fans of historical sims however. It’s also a game for those who like to create their own fictional universes and many of these people would rather their league’s playoffs more resemble the playoff formats of other leagues or sports than MLB’s. Before, luckily, their was a workaround for many of these people in the name of the Playoff Editor, but now that the author has virtually declared the mod dead, fans of the game whom custom playoffs are a must for are left with the options of continuing on with the previous version of the game or waiting for Markus to add the feature either in a future version of the game or in a patch to OOTP12. Please sign this petition to help us convince Markus that customizable playoffs need to be in OOTP12.
