This week — July 10, 2011 — Meet the Press aired a show with not a single woman guest. This is completely unacceptable. Week after week, most shows have one woman. Every so often, there are two.
There are qualified women leaders, and it is important to have our opinions (regardless of political party) on your show. The invisibility of women on Meet the Press feeds into a climate of sexism, the devaluation of women and girls and the minimization of women’s needs in the political process.
