We ask that Verizon meet the demands of the Communications Workers of America. This is a reasonable approach.

In spite of Verizon’s outrageous bargaining tactics, Verizon’s workers have been more than willing to come to the bargaining table and negotiate.

Verizon’s attempts to weaken collective bargaining is disgusting and is a direct attack on working America. Proposals such as eliminating disability benefits for workers injured while on the job, elimination of all job security provisions and eliminating paid sick days for new hires are unacceptable. Freezing pensions for current workers and eliminating them for future employees is wrong and dangerous for working class families.

I stand with the 45,000 Verizon workers now on strike!
