With the Human Rights Watch indicating that up to $8bn USD is smuggled out of Nigeria annually, the time has come to insist on 24/7 electricity. Nigeria does not lack the funds with which to provide electricity for all. To put this demand in perspective, recall that it cost $8bn USD to build a brand new refinery. That’s right! The same amount smuggled out of the country by greedy politicians every year! If we have to confiscate the assets of declared crooks such as Obasonjo and the many others exposed in Cablegate, then that’s what we must do. Indeed, I dare say, there will plenty of change left over too!
