UPDATE: This petition is closed — You can still send a letter to Goldman Sachs and the other 3 banks who haven’t yet signed on to the Making Home Affordable Program. If you’ve already signed this petition, your signature has been gathered and sent directly to Goldman Sachs via email. (Note: Goldman Sachs reports that they do not operate the GS_News twitter feed. We are now focusing our efforts on our verified email address for Goldman Sachs. Sorry for the confusion!)

The Making Home Affordable program was created by the Obama Administration to help families avoid foreclosure during the economic crisis. The program could help as many as four million homeowners struggling with unaffordable mortgages to receive modifications to affordable terms, stay in their homes, and keep their neighborhoods stable. So far, Goldman Sachs, along with 3 other institutions, has failed to take advantage of it.

ACORN and MomsRising.org are partnering to tell Goldman Sachs to sign on to the MHA program now. Along with this petition, citizens all over the country are sitting in at banks’ offices asking them to sign on the the program.
