My daughters were killed in 2004 when they rented a car from Enterprise that was under a safety recall. Currently, rental car companies are allowed to rent cars to consumers that are dangerous and are under recall. Enterprise Rent-A-Car prides itself on its corporate partnership with the NCAA that began in 2005. For March Madness this year, Enterprise is launching a new advertising blitz. At the same time, Enterprise has refused to join its top competitor, Hertz, in supporting pending legislation that would prevent rental car companies from renting recalled cars. The NCAA could be putting the safety of its employees and student athletes at risk by partnering with Enterprise. Please join me in calling on the NCAA to drop its partnership with Enterprise (EnterpriseCares) unless Enterprise will join Hertz in supporting the legislation named after my daughters, Raechel and Jacqueline Houck.
