As a hotel patron and concerned community member, I urge you to rehire Sonia Ordonez. Sonia is a 6-year cook and a single mother, who has dedicated many years of service to your company. Now she is being fired for a small infraction.

We know Sonia has spoken out about abuses that women and immigrant workers suffer at Hyatt’s hands. We know she has shared her story with religious leaders and Hyatt’s executives at the company’s annual shareholders meeting. We also know that Sonia Ordonez is not the first woman at Hyatt to be terminated or disciplined after speaking out against mistreatment. We stand by her and any worker who speaks out against abuse at work.

Hyatt must stop the abuse of women and immigrant workers. We call you to respect her rights and the rights of all Hyatt workers in their struggle to build a better life for themselves and their families.
