On July 29th, Heather Fernandez, VP of Marketing at Trulia, asked the Trulia Voices real estate community of millions of consumers and real estate professionals if the government should extend the first time home-buyer credit. Real estate professionals, home buyers and sellers have shared their opinions and have said clearly: “Congress, extend the credit.”

On Trulia, we’ve seen thousands of examples of folks that have taken advantage of the credit to settle into their first homes and on April 15, 2010, we will have a full account of how many first time home buyers benefited. While we wait, we ask that Congress extend the tax credit by six-months to continue to provide incentives for first-time homebuyers. If you would like to see the current program extended to May 31st, 2010, please sign this Trulia Twitition. While other groups are lobbying in DC, there is nothing more powerful than the voice of the people. Please sign this petition and RETWEET IT to make sure Congress knows you want the first-time home buyer tax credit extended and make your voice heard!!

Thank You!
